West River Road Remodel

This comprehensive architectural renovation of the entire main level, partial upper level and complete exterior of a classic West River Road home in Minneapolis transforms the living flow while preserving the house’s character: a light-filled, open-plan kitchen addition with custom cabinetry, quartz counters, and a large island connects seamlessly to a new walk-in pantry and formal dining area; a discreet powder room with modern fixtures and durable finishes serves guests; a practical mudroom with built-in storage and durable flooring organizes entry from the yard; a quiet, well-lit office provides a focused workspace; and the whole level is brought up to modern comfort and efficiency with a new, properly zoned HVAC system and upgraded mechanicals, all detailed to respect historic proportions and materials while delivering contemporary performance and everyday functionality. This project was a collaboration with Albertsson Hansen Architecture & Interior Design.
