Tangletown Reboot

This was a very tricky site, with narrow access up a steep hill and a tight space in which to place the addition. Integration of the new roof line with existing was also complicated, but the elegant design by Greg Elsner and Lisa Antenucci at Shelter Architecture makes it appear absolutely seamless. From the owners:

Springline built a kitchen addition to our 1914 house (with a very challenging building site) and they were fantastic. First, the quality of their work was exceptional - the attention to details, fit and finish, and the craftsmanship to make the new kitchen flow seamlessly with the existing structure. It really was beautiful work and we still marvel at the small touches that make a world of difference. They worked creatively and collaboratively with our architect to solve the issues that arise when working with an older home. Highly recommend.”
