Basset Creek Kitchen & Sunroom

The owners of this home on Basset Creek in Golden Valley knew they had a beautiful location and a great house, but it needed some opening-up and a fresh feel. The kitchen was dated and small despite the home’s generous square footage, and they really wanted to make their screen porch a 4-season sitting room. Enter a thoughtful design Albertsson Hansen Architecture, and the space was transformed. We removed the wall between kitchen and dining room, re-insulated under the kitchen floor (which was cold because it sits over a tuck-under garage), and demolished the screen porch walls and floor, rebuilding to bring that room inside the home, replaced wall-to-wall carpet with hardwood, installed new recessed and decorative lighting throughout the main level and basement, and installed an updated kitchen. What a difference.
