Longfellow Lightning Strike

Fire started by a lightning strike in the middle of the night destroyed the upper level of this Longfellow story-and-a-half, and water from firefighting badly damaged the main and lower levels. Working with beautiful design by Marc Sloot at SALA Architects, we tore off the entire upper half-story and replaced it with expanded dormers, keeping the period feel of the home intact while greatly expanding the upper level space. Exterior and interior finishes were seamlessly integrated with existing materials and period style.
